Clinical Trial for Dry Eye Disease

Life With Dry Eye Disease

Millions of Americans struggle with producing enough tears to keep their eyes wet. This could be caused by a condition called Dry Eye Disease (DED). Dry Eye could be caused by either reduced aqueous production from the lacrimal glands, known as Aqueous Deficiency Dry Eye, or a deficient tear film layer which increases tear evaporation, known as Evaporative Dry Eye. Although most patients have a mild form of the disease, Dry Eye can significantly impact one’s quality of life. Symptoms include:

  • Burning or stinging eyes
  • Scratchy feeling or itchy eyes
  • Red eyes
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Blurry vision

About the Study

Researchers are looking for adults 18 years or older with dry eye disease to test a new investigational medication (a new eye drop medication). The study will look at how safe and effective the medication is.
The study aims to enroll around 120 participants to advance our understanding of dry eye treatments and their impact on quality of life.
